Month 7

Little Miss Hannah, you know how to keep a Momma and Daddy busy! And we love every minute of it! I apologize to you for skipping month 6 but I don't even think I had a moment to open the computer, much less write on it! So much has happened since I last wrote you! You still amaze us every single day! You are now sitting up on your own! This took a little while because you were so determined but would still fall either backwards or sideways but you wouldn't give up sweetie! You were going to sit up because thats what you wanted to do! And you certaintly did. Quick too. Me and your Aunt Jen Jen sat you on a blanket and when you fell over we would pick you back up and then all of a sudden you started to fall and caught yourself! Then you looked at us with a big smile like I did it!!!!! You are trying to grow up and be a big girl and do what we do, and we are so proud of you but at the same time we are like "Slow down girl!!" You are growing up too fast already. Speaking of growing, Momma is so excited about your hair! Its getting longer and longer! It's still not long enough for a bow yet without the head wrap but we are getting there for sure! And bows are another challenge! Child you will NOT let me put one in your hair! Everytime I do you just reach up and grab it right out! Your Daddy loves it!! He says "Leave her alone! She doesn't like bows!", but I just insist that you do and you just don't know it yet! You have also started drinking from a trainer sippee cup and drinking from a straw. Aunt JenJen didn't know you could drink out of a straw but you kept reaching for her cappuchino so she let you put the straw in your mouth thinking that you would just chew on it but soon as she took the straw away, you had a giant mouth full of coffee!!! We said OH NO!!!
    You are such an independent little thing, and we are always trying to hold you tight and hug on you but you will not have any of it! You want to sit up, and be grown already! You are even trying to walk before youv'e even crawled! We are working on that one, and hopefully in your 8 month letter you will hear me say you are crawling! Daddy is going soon to get all of the childproof cabinet locks because we know thats the first place you are going to go! To grab plates and tupperware from the cabinets to chew on them! I love you so much and can't wait to see what's next!!

Month 5

Dear Hannah,

    Weve made it to the 20 week mark! And you are cuter than ever! Right now Jessica has you on the floor and is blowing on your stomach and you are screaming with laughter! It is adorable! You are allllways the life of the party! Mommy doesn't exist anymore. People dont even say hello to me! They go straight for you! And that is completely ok, because you are now an extension of me and I couldn't be more pleased and in love. You have begun reaching out for things and grabbing them and just shaking them and EVERYTHING goes in your mouth! Whether its Buddy's tail, or my hair, or something off of the floor, you are tasting it! And when your not trying to eat stuff off the floor and Xmas lights, you are eating solids now.You absolutely love Sweet Potatoes and Applesauce. Those are your favorite foods. It's hard to get you to take a bottle now because you want some of that good food. Nana and MeMe got you to try some velveeta cheese from the Green bean casserole at Thanksgiving dinner and you went NUTS! You are babbling a lot now. I can see in your eyes that you are trying to tell me something but just cant find the words. Im working on Mama, hoping it will come out before DaDa, but only you know. I fall more and more in love everyday and am loving to watch you grow. Oh and growing you are!! Almost 17 pounds and only 5 months old. Your MeMe calls you chunky monkey! But Mommy thinks you are just perfect! My perfect little angel.                                                                               Love, Momma

Month 4

Well my sweet baby, we have made it past month 3! What an exciting month it has been! So many milestones have happened this month. You started gripping things with your hands open instead of with your fists clenched. Every thing that you touch you immediately have to bring it to your mouth to try to chew on it. You will chew on anything you can get your hands on; your toys, your teethers, my FINGER! You chewed my finger so hard yesterday that it was hurting when I woke up this morning :)
I think you may be teething because you have been drooling alot and knawing on anything you can find! You have also started responding to me by sticking out your tongue and you just started screaming! I mean SCREAMING!! When you are excited you just scream out loud like crazy! It drives your Daddy insane! But as long as you are happy, thats all that matters. We started giving you some solid food this month too. You loved peas and sweet potatoes but weren't so crazy about bananas. Heck you pretty much will eat anything! You dont get that from your picky Momma and Daddy, that's for sure. You started staying overnight with your MeMe, and Aunt Jennifer this month. You were always a precious angel for them and then you'd get home and be fussy with me! Oh well, i'm sure I have alot of that to look forward to. I love you so much, and cant wait to see what this month holds for us! Love, Your Momma

3 Months

Well Hannah, we've made it 3 months! This has been the 3 most beautiful months I have ever experienced! It is so neat to watch you grow. Every day it seems that you do something new! You started laughing this month, and I don't mean a little laugh. I mean a loud Hee-Haw laugh like your Mama! You also started grasping at your toys that hang from your bouncy chair. It is so funny to watch you try to grab them and then get mad because you can't. When we stick our tongue out at you, you mock us and then we clap really loud and you jump, like your saying "What the heck is wrong with you!" There are some times when I'm just talking to you or singing to you when you look at me or Daddy like, "Man God gave me a bum deal with these crazy parents!" But then there are the other times when you just look at me and smile and I know you love me and know I'm your Mommy. I still stare at you in wonder. I know i've had three months to get used to you, but it is so amazing to me that we made this perfect little miracle. So many billions of people have been born in this world, including myself but for some reason it's like you are the only one. To me and Daddy you ARE the only one. You are an angel in disguise my sweet baby and I cannot wait to see what you do next. Thank you so much for coming into my life, and showing me what I was missing!      Love, Your Momma

Month 1

Hannah, my sweet angel, you are now one month old. There are not enough words to express how happy you have made me and how absolutely precious you are. You are lying in my lap as I write this in the middle of the night. I always thought that it must be horrible to have to wake at all hours of the night to feed a baby, and how tiring it must be and with you, it has been quite the opposite. These middle of the night feedings are our time; time for me to talk to you and stare in amazement at how perfect you are and how much I don’t deserve you. How could anyone deserve someone so absolutely perfect as you. This month has been the best month of my life. Your Nana has been with us this month and she is as much in love with you as I am. Everyone that lays their eyes on you loves you. How could they not? You are such a sweet baby, and you bring joy to so many people.
I will never forget the moment in the hospital when I first heard your precious voice. I was overcome with emotions, and your daddy was as well. We never could have known just how beautiful you would be. The hospital was full of people. There were so many people waiting to see you that they filled up the waiting room! You probably had stars in your eyes for awhile because of all the camera flashes. You have to be the most photographed baby of all time! People came to the house to see you every day for a couple of weeks and finally the flocks died down and we got to have some alone time. I cherish these times.
I read a story to you each night and you look me right in the eyes like you understand every single word. I love these times, and cant wait until you can tell me which story is your favorite. Another neat thing about you is that from the very first moment I saw you, you smiled. You smile more than any other baby I’ve ever seen. You fill my heart with joy. I cannot get enough of you and look forward to many happy times with you in the future. You are my heart and soul, and I want you to know you always will be.     Love, Your Momma
